Appeal for witnesses after a serious collision leaves a cyclist in hospital

Wednesday evening (July 21), emergency services responded to an incident in Forthampton, Gloucester where a collision between a cyclist and car occurred.
It happened around 6.30pm on Bishops Walk involving two cyclists and a black Volkswagen Golf.
Emergency services attended and one cyclist, a man in his 50's, was taken to Southmead hospital via air ambulance where he remains today in serious condition.
The road was closed for several hours while officers carried out an investigation and is now open again.
Any witnesses to the incident who have not yet spoken to officers are asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 473 of 21 July.
