Appeal after cyclist headbutted in Stroud incident

Officers are urging those who stopped to check on a cyclist after he was headbutted in an incident in Stroud earlier this month to come forward.

The incident happened on Bisley Old Road at around 6pm on Monday 1 October.

A dark hatchback car pulled over in front of the cyclist before the male motorist got of the vehicle, shouted and swore at the male victim, then pushed and headbutted him.

The offender got back into the car, where a female passenger was waiting for him, and drove away.

The victim suffered reddening to the cheek in the incident.

Several people stopped to check if the victim was okay and officers are urging those witnesses to call 101 with details.

If you can help, call 101 and quote incident 124 of 2 October.
