Another new venue for Cheltenham's Brewery Quarter

Plans have been submitted to Cheltenham Borough Council seeking permission for darts venue to open in the town.

Flight Club, which also has locations in Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, London and Manchester, has now set its sights on Cheltenham for its latest venue.

Plans suggest the business will occupy Units 11 and 12 at the Brewery Quarter, previously home to Mexican restaurant Chiquito, next to the Everlast Gym and opposite Nandos.

The amalgamated unit would operate as a darts venue, with associated restaurant and bar facilities.

Flight Club said each of its playing areas (oches) can be booked out to groups of up to 20 guests, with 12 people able to play Social Darts at any given time.

It added that its darts games have been designed with beginners in mind and the technology guides customers through each game and tracks the scores.

A full table service is also offered for food and drinks orders and a 'call the waiter' button on each oche is there to alert staff that customers wish to place an order.

Nikki Kontarines, asset manager for The Brewery Quarter said: 'We can confirm that Flight Club has expressed an interest in The Brewery Quarter. We hope that we will be able to announce further good news imminently about the opening of this extremely exciting brand.

"This further demonstrates the ever-growing success and popularity of the scheme as a primary entertainment and lifestyle destination in the UK. Three new openings are planned at The Brewery Quarter for early 2022. We can't wait to announce further details when able to do so."

Flight Club said it intended to employ 25 full-time staff members (five of which would be managers) and 20 part-time employees.

It hopes to be open 8am to 12:30pm Sunday to Wednesday and 8am to 1.30pm Thursday to Saturday.
