All the fun of the fair at Leckhampton Court hospice

Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice is throwing open its doors for its annual autumn celebrations tomorrow (Saturday, September 9).

Fair organisers promise a fun, traditional Cotswolds day out for all the family while raising funds for the hospice which cares for people aged 18 and over living with terminal and life-threatening conditions like cancer, heart failure, lung disease and neurological.

The stunning grounds of the historic grade ll listed building is the perfect setting for the event which will include children's entertainment, games, face painting, Cheltenham Town FC Hot Shot, and a bouncy castle, as well as live music and dance displays from special guests.

For shoppers there will be an abundance of gifts and treats on offer at craft, fashion and food stalls, from homemade cakes and preserves to children's toys and retro fashion.

Those looking for more traditional fair can take part in the bottle tombola, peruse the second hand book stall and enter the charity raffle or enjoy an afternoon tea or barbecue.

Hospice director Elise Hoadley said, "Our traditional autumn fair is an exclusive opportunity to enjoy our beautiful grounds and buildings nestled in the foothills of the Cotswolds while having a great day out with family and friends raising much needed funds for our hospice."

"We are home to the only inpatient unit giving around the clock hospice care in the whole of the county in addition to our day and hospice at home services. As a charity all our services are given free of charge, but we rely on fundraising for the majority of our income.

"Out autumn fair is an important day in our fundraising calendar, and over the past five years it's taken place we have raised over £26,000, which could pay for a staggering 1,600 hours of hospice care here."

Entry costs £2.50 per adult with children under 12 free.
