A cavalcade of historic buses took to the streets to celebrate the opening of Gloucester's new state of the art bus station.

The parade, organised by city councillor Colin Organ, saw 15 buses dating from the 1930s to Stagecoach West's latest luxury Gold bus, driven by Stagecoach West's managing director Rupert Cox.

He said the new Transportation Hub was a fantastic centre and would enhance bus travel in the county with the very latest technology..

"It really will be a facility that is fit for the future," said Mr Cox.
