Alex Chalk hosts Cheltenham Ideal Retirement Fair

Cheltenham's MP, Alex Chalk, will be hosting a retirement fair, offering advice and support to older people on Thursday 28th September at Honeybourne Gate.

The free event at the Cheltenham retirement complex is open to everyone. It should be of particular interest to retired people, anyone approaching retirement age and anyone worried about their pensions.

Attendees can go along any time from 11am-2pm to pick up advice and information from a range of stalls, including Age UK, CCP, St Vincent's and St George's, Gloucestershire Fire Service and Gloucestershire Federation WI.

Alex Chalk said: "There are fantastic organisations in Cheltenham who are helping people every day, from assisting them with their pension to providing them with the support to get fit and healthy. This is a great opportunity for residents to see what services are available to them in our local community."

The event is open to carers and family members, as well as retired people and people approaching retirement age.

Punchline says after a lifetime of work, the prospect of retirement can be a frightening one. It's great that so many organisations are coming together to set people's minds at rest, whether they're worried about their finances, housing or simply finding ways to fill those extra hours.
