Airline Emirates flies into county

Do you want a new job, would you like to travel the world, do you have an arm reach of 212cm when standing on tiptoes, and are you over 21?

Yes, these are all questions which could lead you towards a job with international airline Emirates, which has announced plans to recruit in Gloucestershire with a jobs fair later this month.

Described as the world's largest international airline, the United Arab Emirates-based business is looking for candidates to join its multinational cabin crew team.

The business is owned by the government of Dubai, part of the United Arab Emirates, and new cabin crew will be offered the chance to live in the city.

Richard Jewsbury, divisional vice president UK for Emirates, said: "Our cabin crew are open-minded, helpful, friendly and service-oriented and that's what we need from candidates in order to deliver Emirates' award-winning onboard experience to customers.

"It is an exciting time for us as Emirates continues to grow and we encourage interested applicants to attend and meet some of our cabin crew recruitment team who will be happy to answer any questions about the role and life in Dubai."

One of the criteria candidates will need to fulfil in order to be considered. Include having an arm reach of 212cm when standing on tiptoes. Something to do with reaching across the seats to help passengers, we presume.

Emirates currently flies to 157 destinations across six continents operating a modern fleet of 269 all wide-body aircraft.

The airline is the largest global operator of the Boeing 777 and the Airbus A380 aircraft.

The airline is holding its Cabin Crew Recruitment Open Day on Saturday, March 23, at 9am at the Hallmark Hotel Gloucester, Marlstone Close, Robinswood Hill, GL4 6EA.
