Accountancy firm completes £520 million worth of deals

Cheltenham-based Hazlewoods Corporate Finance Team has reported a record number of deals in 2018.

Despite economic uncertainty due to Brexit, Hazlewoods advised on 131 completed deals, worth £520 million, in the nine months to 30th September. More transactions are in the pipeline before the end of the year.

The volume of deals has increased by around 10 per cent compared to the previous year.

Paul Fussell, corporate finance partner (pictured), said: "It is pleasing to see that deal activity is continuing to hold up against a backdrop of considerable uncertainty, demonstrating continued resilience and demand for quality businesses. We have a strong pipeline of deals due to complete in the coming months, and hope this trend continues into 2019."
