Abnormal loads being escorted through Gloucestershire this week

Gloucestershire Constabulary has revealed it will be escorting a number of abnormal loads from the M5 to the Forest of Dean this week, and warns that it may cause delays to drivers travelling in the county.

A number of modular buildings will be escorted from Gloucester Services on the southbound carriageway of the M5 to Drybrook from today to Thursday.

The convoys will be leaving the M5 junction 12 at 10am before travelling along the B4008, A38 to Gloucester, A430, A40, A4136, Baynham Road, Mitcheldean through the Stenders to Drybrook.

The escorts will involve between four and eight heavy goods vehicles and is likely to cause travel disruption.

Residents in Baynham Road, Mitcheldean are again thanked for their co-operation whilst these movements pass through the area.
