A417 partially closed following multi-vehicle collision

Officers have closed a stretch of the A417 following a multi-vehicle collision this afternoon (Tuesday 8 October).

Emergency services were called shortly before 2.45pm with a report of a collision involving three vehicles near to the Golden Heart Inn

A closure is in place on the Cirencester bound stretch of road from Birdlip Hill while emergency services remain at the scene.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes as traffic will be impacted in the lead up to rush hour.

Anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to police is asked to submit information by completing the online form quoting incident 285 of October 8.
