£5,000 worth of cigarettes stolen in night time raid of Nailsworth shop

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses and information following a burglary at a Nailsworth shop.

The incident occurred at around 1.45am on Sunday morning and involved offenders breaking in to the Co-op store in Market Street.

A window was smashed to gain entry and more than £5,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen.

In a statement, Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "If you were in the area at the time and witnessed anything or have dashcam or CCTV footage please contact police on 101 quoting incident 53 of 1 March."
