£4,500 worth of equipment stolen from vans in Cinderford

In August, police received a number of reports of thefts from vans in Cinderford and the surrounding area and officers are asking the public remain vigilant against thieves.

Since the start of the month there have been four thefts of tools from vans in Cinderford and Mitcheldean where over £4,500 worth of equipment was taken.

At around 1.30pm on Monday 16 August a woman reported to police seeing two men dressed in black steal tools from a van that was parked on a driveway in Cinderford.

On the same day, sometime between 11am and midday a bag of tools worth £1,000 was stolen from another van parked on a driveway in the town.

On Wednesday 4 August police received a report that over the previous night tools were stolen from a Ford Transit van in Cinderford worth around £3,000.

On that same day, a short distance away in Mitcheldean £500 worth of tools were taken from a van parked up while the driver was working on a nearby building.
