30 jobs up for grabs as Hub Box set to open

Hub Box, a new foodie hotspot located in the heart of Cheltenham's Brewery Quarter, is recruiting 30 new faces.

On Wednesday, July 21, the team from the Cornish HQ will be at Hub8 in The Brewery Quarter from 10am-5.30pm, hoping to hear from a range of people to fill roles in front of house, bar, management, supervisors and kitchen.

Anyone interested can register by emailing adam.hughes@hubbox.co.uk and the team is also willing to have a 20-minute chat with anyone who rocks up with a CV and a good vibe.

Inspired by New York street food, Hub Box brings a menu of delicious burgers, fries and sides.

Hub Box, which first started in Truro in 2012 in a bid to create a fun vibrant place for locals and tourists to enjoy, now has 10 sites across the UK. The Cheltenham Hub Box will be its 11th.

It brings quirky perks to the town, with an annual beach party to bring staff across the UK together. It also has team discounts, great rates of pay and flexible working hours. Staff get paid to work within the local community and charities too.

CEO Richard Boon said: "The Brewery Quarter is the perfect spot for us. I've always loved Cheltenham and kept an eye on what's happening. The mix of new operators joining The Brewery Quarter family is fantastic and we are excited to be rubbing shoulders with them.

"I grew up close by in Bristol and really got to know Cheltenham well. I have always had a desire to open here - so this is a dream come true!"

Speaking of the new recruits, he added: "We're looking for people who are reliable and committed hospitality superstars who are keen to build a career with us. We're after people who are passionate about the hospitality industry and who want to learn new things.

"Previous experience is always an advantage but it's not essential. A desire to work in a busy restaurant with an amazing team and obsession for customer service is a must.

"We want people who know the power of making people smile. Our staff love what they do, go the extra mile and stand out from the crowd. We want people with a twinkle in their eye and a smile never far from their lips.

"We create an atmosphere where people can be themselves, follow their instincts and brighten people's days."

With a reputation for being maverick, welcoming and spirited, the Hub Box ethos is that everyone deserves a good time that brings a little lift and a spring in their step.

The company prides itself on making people feel welcome, sharing good food and creating an atmosphere full of spirit and energy. With its edge, soul and playfulness,

the coastal sensibility at its roots makes the food and atmosphere feel creative, fresh and alive.

The founders of Hub Box believe food should taste incredible and also be mindful - seasonality and provenance are top priorities.

Interviews will be at Hub8, located opposite The Cosy Club in The Brewery Quarter.
