2,000 jobs to go at fashion retailer

Fashion retailer, M&Co, is to close all of its stores - with the loss of 2,000 jobs.

M&Co, which has stores in Stroud and Tewkesbury, is set to close 170 shops across the UK in the spring.

The retailer appointed administrators for a second time at the end of last year, having previously collapsed in 2020.

AK Retail Holdings recently bought the brand and intellectual property of M&Co, but the purchase didn't include the stores.

With no offers which would result in the transfer of staff and shops, all stores will close their doors for the last time at Easter.
