A spot of luck

An antique dealer was walking through Tetbury town centre when he saw a cat drinking milk from a saucer in a shop window. He realised that the saucer was very rare and expensive.

He entered the shop and asked the young lady behind the counter "Good morning, I really like that cat in the window. Would you be willing to sell it to me?"

The shop keeper replied "He's not for sale I am afraid."

The antique dealer frantically responded "I'll give you £1000 for him!"

The shop keeper is lost for words and immediately agrees. The antique dealer grabs the cat and begins walking towards the door. He turned to say "Oh, wood you mind throwing in the saucer, the cat seems to like it."

The shop owner replied "Sorry but it's not for sale, it's my lucky saucer. I've sold hundreds of cats since I've had it in the window."
