Martha Reeves and The Vandellas announce Gloucester tour date

Legendary Motown group Martha Reeves and The Vandellas is coming to Gloucester for a performance packed full of soul this November.

Gloucester Guildhall is welcoming the legendary vocal group on Wednesday, November 15 for an electric performance full of their hit songs.

The group had hit singles such as Come and Get These Memories, Heat Wave, Quicksand and Nowhere to Run plus the classic soul of My Baby Loves Me, the pop anthem Jimmy Mack and the signature Dancing in the Street.

Jim Lockey, Gloucester Guildhall's Programming and Marketing Manager, said: "The best way to describe Martha Reeves and The Vandellas is 'timeless'.

"They have a huge number of hit songs that have lasted generations and continue to pick up new fans. 

"This show offers a chance to experience one of the legendary Motown groups in a very intimate setting."

Martha has counted talents as diverse as James Brown and Beverly Sills among her singing partners. 

Everyone from Mick Jagger and David Bowie, Dusty Springfield and the Grateful Dead have gone Dancing In the Street. Singers such as Adele, the late Amy Winehouse, Florence Welch and Jennifer Hudson are also fans.
