VIDEO: King’s Walk Bastion re-opens

Gloucester City Council, working in partnership with the King's Walk Shopping Centre and the Civic Trust, is re-opening the King's Walk Bastion for public tours from this month.

The public will be able to see the remains of part of the Roman City wall and a medieval defensive tower, which are thought to be constructed during the reign of Henry III.

Confirmed dates of the tour are 4th April, 2nd May and 6th June. There will be three tours on each of the confirmed dates at 10am, 10.45am and 11.30am.

Tickets (£5 per person) will be on sale from the Gloucester Ticket Shop website at https://www.gloucesterticketshop.co.uk/, or in person from the museums or tourist information centre.

The chamber is accessed by stairs which open in the middle of the King's Walk Shopping centre.

More dates will be announced later in the year.
