'Unique' property is given the green light

Winchcombe-based coombes:everitt Architects has secured planning approval for a replacement dwelling in Woodmancote, near Cheltenham.

The 3,600sqft new house will provide a high-quality, low energy use dwelling and has been positioned to make the most of the spectacular views over Woodmancote and the local church, where the clients were married.

Client Jane Lucas said: "We loved the approach coombes:everitt took to the design of our new home.

"John Everitt really took the time and effort to understand what we wanted and has created a home that is totally unique and which has taken advantage of the wonderful views.

"We had an idea of what we wanted the house to look like, but when they came back with the final designs we are incredibly excited by them. They were better than we could ever have imagined."

The proposed construction materials and the building's form pick up on the historical buildings and their materials found in the locality.
