New report names "best place" to live in Gloucestershire

We all know Gloucestershire is a great county in which to live and work but where is hot and where is not?

According to a new report in the Sunday Times the Cotswold village of Blockley is one of the most desirable locations in the South West.

With its mellow Cotswold stone buildings and grass verges it is described as the "forgotten village."

Which is probably why few homes come up for sale and those that do are quickly snapped up.

It is also said to have a great community spirit and plenty of life and activities.

The Sunday Times says Nailsworth has been "pipped by other Cotswold beauties" and soon to see homes built on a greenfield site.

We at Punchline disagree. Nailsworth is a great town with some fantastic restaurants, an impressive selection of independent shops and a friendly, vibrant community. It even has a busy business park.

Bristol is voted the Best Place to Live 2017 for its job opportunities, food and drink and culture.

It is described in the Sunday Times as: "Cool, classy and supremely creative."
