New man in charge tipped be 'real asset' to business and brand

Hotel du Vin Cheltenham has announced the appointment of a new general manager to drive the business forward.

Chris Thompson (pictured) will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, in Parabola Road, Cheltenham, and the development of his team.

He has joined from Malmaison, Hotel du Vin's sister brand, where he had been since April 2013, most recently as deputy general manager of Malmaison Leeds.

Nick Halliday, chief operations officer, said, "We're delighted to welcome Chris to the brand.

"He's done some excellent work at Malmaison and we believe he'll be a real asset to both the hotel and the brand. I look forward to working with him."

Punchline would like to wish Chris luck in his new role at Hotel du Vin.

Judging by the photograph of him that was supplied, he is a very smart dude.
