New home for successful county brewery

Stroud Brewery wants to set up a new £1 million centre which will allow it to double beer production.

The Stroud News and Journal newspaper reports that the new base will be at Kingfisher Business Park in Brimscombe not far from the existing HQ.

If approved by planners the site will include an improved bar area and space for the public to sit outside along the canal towpath.

MD Greg Pilley has grown the business over the last 11 years.

Stroud Brewery produces a range of premium organic beers brewed using Cotswold grown barley, traditionally malted at Warminster Maltings. The main focus of the business is brewing its unique and tasty cask conditioned beer.
