Mobile speed camera locations revealed for April 2017

The locations of the county's mobile speed cameras in April have been announced by the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership.

The aim is to reduce the risks to all road users and make drivers avoid speeding.

"The mobile speed detection vans operate at over 80 sites across the county and prioritise site activity by examining speed and accident data including intelligence received from communities" said a Road Safety Partnership spokesman.

"In an effort to reduce speeding in areas across the county, the priority sites will be advertised each month. Visits to the other sites will continue but emphasis will be placed on the advertised locations."

Mobile camera sites for April are:

  • A417 Dartley Bottom, Nr Daglingworth, Duntisbourne Rouse, Glos
  • A46 Ashchurch Road, Near St Davids Rd, Tewkesbury
  • A430 Secunda Way, Near Hempsted Lane, Hempsted, Gloucester
  • A4019 Uckington Nr Withybridge Lane, Glos
  • Princess Elizabeth Way Nr Lechmere Rd, Cheltenham

"We will endeavour to visit other mobile enforcement sites throughout the county, but motorists should expect a regular presence at these sites in April," said a Road Safety Partnership spokesman.
