Fantastic crafts and delicious food at Orchard Street Market, Gloucester Quays March 4-5

Lovers of fine food and unique artisan products are in for a treat when the Orchard Street Food and Craft Market returns to Gloucester Quays this weekend, March 4 and 5.

It is the first of the popular monthly markets which will be taking place at Gloucester Quays in 2017 until November, showcasing the finest food and drink local producers have to offer.

There will be around 25 stalls with a marvellous mix of food and drink ranging from delicious fresh cakes and preserves to artisan arts and crafts.

These include comfy cushions and lampshades, handmade ceramic gifts, an extensive range of gemstone jewellery, specialist teas, luxurious bath oils and much more.

Matt Bird, Centre Manager at Gloucester Quays, said: "We're excited to be hosting our first Orchard Street Food and Craft Market of 2017 this weekend. Come and join us between 10am and 6pm on Saturday and 11am and 5pm on Sunday.

"Our market has grown steadily in popularity over the last few years and attracts visitors from a wide area. What makes these markets so special is that they offer a variety of products you just cannot buy on the high street.

"Our visitors come to the market for a special day out and the friendly and enthusiastic stallholders at Orchard Street Food and Craft Market have a real passion for the products they sell."

Jack Hume, Marketing Co-ordinator for event organisers, Gourmet Food Markets, said: "March's Orchard Street Market will have around 25 stallholders featuring producers, crafters, artists and gift specialists selling everything from artisan cakes and chutneys to original artwork and homewares.

"Nestled around Gloucester Quays Outlet Centre, this market is a must for anyone looking to buy unique and local goodies."

The stallholders include:

- Cotswolds Distillery: A local distillery making award-winning gins and whiskeys. Proud winner of 'The Best London Dry Gin' in the World Gin Awards 2016.

- Hetty's Tea Party: Local Great Taste Award winner making cakes, tray bakes and tarts using the freshest and finest local ingredients.

- Broadlands Pottery: Handcrafted and ceramics and homewares. Make your own personalised ceramic bunting for friends and family.

- Leaf and Petal: Activate the senses with an eclectic range of herbal teas. Lots of luxury flavours and scents - to enhance your "me time" or give as the perfect gift.

- Yee Green Men: Hand-fused glass wares from their studio in the heart of the Cotswolds.

- Georgie Woolridge: A local artist selling a range of prints, cards, and notebooks inspired by nature that brighten and invigorate.

Orchard Street Food and Craft Market has a growing appeal for those who want to enjoy a great day out at Gloucester Quays Outlet, with savings of up to 70 per cent compared with high street prices and a rapidly expanding restaurant and leisure quarter.
