Fancy a job at a major summer attraction?

Volunteers from businesses throughout Gloucestershire are being invited to take part in Cheltenham's biggest free summer event.

The Midsummer Fiesta, which attracts thousands of people, is returning to Montpellier Gardens on Saturday, 1 July.

The event will include live music and dance performances, arts and crafts area including T-shirt printing and weaving, circus skills, go-karting and classic and vintage cars.

Helen Down, team leader for participation and engagement at Cheltenham Borough Council, said a few more volunteers were needed to help run the event.

"There are lots of activities which we need volunteers for, such as setting up, helping with the prize draw, giving out programmes, helping with children's activities and in the arts and crafts area, and marshalling vehicles safely on and off the site," she said.

"Volunteers are invited to a briefing session beforehand and are provided with a t-shirt, meal vouchers and drinks and snacks throughout the day.

"There are also opportunities for breaks to enjoy the event as well."
