Cotswold Taste - local producers working together

Cotswold Taste Ltd is to hold its second regional launch in Cirencester tomorrow (12th May).

The new quality marque for food and drink produced to high standards in the Cotswolds is celebrating its progress and plans for expansion with a major reception at Ingleside House.

The event is about celebrating local and quality products. At a time of major changes in ways we shop, our communications and expectations, and with global climate changes and Brexit both looming, Cotswold Taste believes we can do a lot to influence what happens in our local areas, and the experiences we have and want:

Promoting local produce, attractions and opportunities more effectively

Encouraging local businesses to work together more to achieve their objectives

Helping consumers to access reasonably priced, locally produced food and drink

Executive Chair Nick Waloff will call for various agencies in the Cotswolds to work more closely together to promote and safeguard its environment, at the same time as creating more jobs.

"We have a unique food and drink offering. We need to use the cards we hold much more effectively. If we don't, no one else is going to."

Cotswold Taste Ltd is a member-owned co-operative, with members from across the food and drink chain, working to encourage business resilience, promote reasonably priced food and contribute to the Cotswolds environment.

Those are just the principles we support here at Punchline and we wish the Cotswold Taste members every success.
