Charity spreads word about its work among business community

Business owners and employers gave their support to an event hosted by the Pied Piper Appeal.

Forty guests attended the charity's third Cheltenham Chapter networking event in the new Honeybourne Gate retirement development, thanks to developers Markey Construction.

The Cheltenham Chapter is a group of Cheltenham-based businesses that meets up a couple of times a year to catch up on the news and progress from Pied Piper.

Pied Piper vice-chair Julie Kent said: "It's a great chance to feed back how we are spending the monies raised in the county and engage with new firms who are perhaps wanting to do more in the workplace to support the charity."

Gloucester Rugby star Charlie Sharples and former Gloucestershire County Cricket Club captain Alex Gidman also supported the event as vice-patrons of Pied Piper.
