And the Which? Trader of the Year award goes to...

A carpet and upholstery cleaning business in Gloucestershire has been shortlisted for a prestigious award after being recognised as one of the best in the UK for customer service.

Proclene Limited, based in Longhorn Aveue, Gloucester, is on a shortlist of only four contenders for the Trader of the Year 2017 award by Which? Trusted Traders.

The winner of the award will be announced at the Which? Awards on 17 May.

Which? Trusted Traders said the four businesses on the shortlist had delivered consistently high standards of customer service.

Each business was assessed on its performance over the past year, with commitment to excellence, reviews and community insight all taken into account.

Raj Kakar-Clayton, managing director of Which? Trusted Traders, said: "The Trader of the Year 2017 award is about recognising tradespeople who are customer focused and delivering consistently high standards of service.

"The Award assesses companies based on a range of factors including customer reviews and community insight to determine the best in class. We look forward to announcing the winner at the Which? Awards in May."

Proclene's rivals for the award are Finesse Windows (Birmingham), Homeglaze Home Improvements (Essex) and Justin Bucknell Electrical (Oxfordshire).
